We are pleased to announce that we have founded Ozeki to bring a judicious and structured application of AI to address the bane of most organizations: negotiating agreement. As CTO, Ivan brings over 25 years experience specialized in building software, not engineering teams. For the past decade as a GC, Ken has been a conspicuous consumer of, advocate for, and even a developer of legal tech. He's two time general counsel of the year and some have called him a "GC visiting from the future."
It almost goes without saying that we are not satisfied with the current state of AI in legal tech. Most such applications seemly are an afterthought, bolting on an external AI solution to focus on document generation, manipulation of standardized terms, and simple redlining. This approach seems to us like looking through the wrong end of the telescope. Any agreement is the resulting output of a negation and memorialization of the exchange of benefits and risks.
Ozeki’s technologies start at the beginning by helping our customers decide what’s important to them in terms of what they would like to have in an agreement and what they need excluded. From there, we can help to negotiate the best possible outcome, and then create the definitive writing. Our approach will allow users to iterate through various logic threads, discover solutions to complex problems and more effective negotiations strategies – tasks that generally require higher-level judgment and expertise. Ozeki will be able to achieve results beyond the reach of an unaided human negotiator.
We invite you to sign up for our early private alpha. And, if you think you have what it takes to turn this vision into a reality, we invite you to come along.
